Greetings Opponauts! On February 19, 2008 the very first post made its way on to our little website called !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . It was about the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Seven years, and many hundreds of articles, reviews, and video features later, we are still growing and looking to smartly continue that growth. Which brings me to why I have called you all here today. We want your feedback. Anyone who has ever managed any sort of business or organization that serves customers knows the importance of surveying them on a regular basis to ensure you are meeting the mark.
So please take a minute and consider the questions below. Our crack team of metrics and feedback specialists will lock themselves into a room with energy drinks beer and tacos and use this to help us improve the RFD experience for you all moving forward.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Feel free to monologue in the comments section as well, if there is something that isn’t covered by the questions above (we tried to keep it short) fire away!
As always, thanks for visiting the site and commenting on our stuff. We try to produce articles that we think people will care about enough to discuss. And we’re happy to hear contrarian or alternate opinions, it’s the internet after all!
Oh and we’re looking for new writers to contribute to the site. The pay sucks but its a great way to get some writing experience.
Regards,
Josh Taylor

I’m going to apologize for not taking the survey. I just plainly have not frequented the site enough. It has grown however and has some nice sized articles done well (by that I mean good material subjects of interest, not just coverage of a dude putting an exhaust on his 12a rotary. some real stuff!) I like seeing that. I will look at RFD more often now that I know it’s well beyond just a sub blog to Oppo like several other sites are.
Are you all primarily west coast? What sort of writing are you looking for? Everything I do here is pretty much rough draft then post material with a few exceptions. Just curious about what you need because I definitely need more practice and ‘homework’ if I’m to get better at the English things I forgot to pay attention to in school.

Thanks! No worries on the survey, that was good feedback. We are actually East Coast based, which I think differentiates us a bit from a lot of sites based in SoCal.
We think there are plenty of interesting car stories to tell, like this RSX . So really anything interesting that has to do with performance cars, racing, car culture, etc. fits into our wheelhouse. We’re trying to keep from just reiterating automotive news, a trap that’s easy to fall into I know. It means we typically have a bit less new content since we try to generate most of it ourselves. Takes a lot of time.
Regardless, thanks for taking a look and we hope you come back.

Awesome. Thanks for taking the time to reply. I’m in the mountains but frequent hotels against my will in the east and south. If you’re ever doing work in Jersey or something and need an extra hand I might have time to help. It would be more fun than looking at rail yards out the window.
